- What We Learn Creates Disabilities
What we learn in life can cause learning disabilities to arise, since we all have a unique way of learning. Learning is the process of growing up with knowledge, experience, understanding, and so forth.
Learning disabilities are specially gifted minds that learn differently from others. When a person has a
learning disability, they often put more effort into learning.
Sometimes their effort can set them back, but if positive persuasion is, accompany the learning process,
then they often head down the road to success.
Some of us take a learning curve, where we learn through practice. Others of us are on the learning curve
to reach goals that bring us wealth.
Still, some of us are on the learning curve that someone else set for us. As you can see, learning
disabilities are a block of confused minds in a certain area. If a person has a learning disability, it does not mean he or she cannot
learn.
Rather, the person may illustrate slowness in learning a particular task. Some persons will learning
disabilities will do well in on one subject, and digress in other areas. In order to correct the many problems with learning disabilities, we
must understand individuality.
Individuality is a person existing in a distinct being that has a cultivated personality attached.
Personalities are a different or brilliance of social and personal traits established over the years.
Our personality is what sets us apart from others. Experts have designed personality test charts to help
them to determine the social and personal traits of the many personalities evaluated, but few have put forth the effort to work with the
individuality.
Of course, there are schools that will find resources to help them teach children with learning
disabilities. Some schools will even open up one on one teaching.
The problem is we have more children with learning disabilities than we have teachers. Therefore, we must
consider all options to help children with learning disabilities.
New research and curricular has been established that has proven helpful in helping children with learning
disabilities. New tactics, such as individual learning has proven effective for helping children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia
and so forth.
Other tactics, such as phonics has proven helpful for teaching children on all levels of learning
disability. Most schools for years have helped children by setting up short-term goals and working toward long-term
goals.
The problem is that many children do not have direction until later in life. The goals set for them are
often under defined, which causes confusion for many children. It is always important to help a child understand.
For example, if you are using fancy words when you are talking to the child, you are potentially confusing
the child. The child may have difficulty understanding you each time you speak, and instead of seeing the problem, teachers sometimes add to the
problem.
This is how many children fall into the snare of learning disability. Mental health experts over define
learning disabilities, since they feel that if a person has mild symptoms of learning skills, they are potential mental
patients.
Some of the diagnosis is outrageous, while other diagnosis is factual. For example, new researchers in
mental health are trying to abolish Antisocial Personality Disorder and Psychopathy Disorder.
The labels are accurate, yet the confusion is the term itself. Other mental health experts and researchers
are in a state of confusion regarding the diagnose MPD or Multiple Personality Disorder.
Some believe it is a form of Schizophrenia, which is far removed from the truth. Others believe it is a
close to psychotic break of the mind, which is even further from the truth. Still, others believe it is a fictional environment for a person to
live, which is even farther from the truth.
Mental health experts have taking a step further and even re-titled the diagnoses, naming it Disassociate
Identity Disorder. Disassociate means to detach oneself from their identity. Some believe this people have learning disabilities, which is
incorrect.
These natural born brilliant individuals were able to do what most people can never do in a lifetime at a
younger age. Some create personalities as young as one year old and it all is resulted from excessive trauma.
Learning disabilities are sometimes diagnoses invented to gain, but some are actually reality based.
Finally, when a child has a learning inability it is time to look at all details of the symptoms before determining
disability.
